ABOUT / INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

Independent in scale.
Serious in method.

Ideactivate is an independent, founder-operated research and engineering lab founded by Shreshth Banjare. The work combines open-source developer infrastructure, experimental model architecture, and systems engineering. The site describes an active practice—not a large institution or a claim that every research hypothesis has been validated.

01 / WHY IT EXISTSTHINK CLEARLY. BUILD CAREFULLY.

Building is how an idea becomes specific.

The projects focus on different layers of software: how coding agents obtain repository context, how a sequence model carries information forward, and how a complex desktop tool keeps its state coherent.

They are not presented as one product. They share a method: make assumptions explicit, implement the mechanism, create a way to test it, and document where the design breaks down.

Ideactivate is currently founder-operated. Credibility has to come from inspectable source code, reproducible evaluations as they become available, clear project status, and honest limitations—not implied headcount, funding, partnerships, or unverified results.

02 / WORKING PRINCIPLES

What the work owes its readers.

01

Explain the mechanism

Describe what the software does today, what its components exchange, and what a user or researcher can actually inspect.

02

Label maturity honestly

Separate implemented behavior, planned work, hypotheses, measured results, and independently reproduced findings.

03

Report trade-offs

A useful report includes overhead, failed cases, uncertainty, and the conditions where an approach is not worth using.

04

Prefer useful systems

Build interfaces people can inspect and test, and connect research metrics to task outcomes rather than isolated headline numbers.

LET'S TALK

Start with the problem.

For research exchange, open-source feedback, or engineering collaboration, describe the problem, the system involved, and what you have already tried.
